Leftwood is all about
the song as it comes through from that mystical place where all
thoughts, feelings and emotions haunt. The land of the song. Some
of us, as artists, are lucky enough to see them and interpret them.
But just as lucky are the people who listen to these interpretations
and give them their own meaning in the context of their own life.
Increasingly today there are many artists who choose not to base
their creations on style but to let the pen wander and the fingers
take over. The song just comes out how they see it in it's purest
form. This is Leftwood.
The process of categorisation
however is neccessary to simplify the search process for a listener
and to keep the record company execs happy. The closest pigeon hole
I could come up with for the album System Bliss was pop/rock with
an alternative twist. However there are psycedellic and electronic
influences in there too. Ultimately there are no boundaries on sound
for me in this project.

The core project
of Perth based writers Ben Chase and Susan Daws, core
element finally
surfaces with three debut tunes and their remixes.
"We generally
like to have an arrangement orientated around the song and its vocal for
the 'songs' sake. However we quite often get our inspiration from
the rhythms. This leads itself to a progressive style of hard house."
